Meet the members of our children's jury.
They watch all nominated films and present awards for Best Film, Best Short Film and Best Short Documentary.
They also play all the games in the XL Medialab and choose a winner for the Medialab award.
Lena
I am super excited about becoming a member of the Youth Festival children's jury. I am sure I will gain many life experiences and fond memories because of it! Last year during the festival I went to see Titina with my moms and my brother Leon.
I am happy that this year I get to experience the whole festival! My favourite film is "Ponyo" by Hayao Miyazaki because it is very imaginative. I love to get totally absorbed in the story of a movie and I want other kids to have that fun too.
It will be a great spring break!!

I wanted to be on the children's jury because I love watching films. I like the Youth Film Festival because it is for all ages. I've also been with my family in previous years. My favourite film is "Raya and the Last Dragon" because it is a magical story and it is about friendships.

I am 10 years old and I live in Ghent. My hobbies are breakdance, Judo and scouts. I think it is REALLYYYYYY cool that I was chosen as children’s jury for the Youth Film Festival. My favorite movie is: 'It's raining meatballs 1 and 2'. I applied because I really like movies myself and I love talking about movies. I like almost every genre of movie. I look forward to going to the cinema every day. Hopefully you got to know me a little better now! 👍

Hello, my name is Hannah!
I am happy to be on the jury of the Youth Film Festival Antwerp. I already went to the festival when I was a toddler. It's always a cool experience. I am now 11 years old and in the sixth grade. I like to do sports and draw: I always have something to do.
I really enjoy discovering and watching new films. My favourite film is Turning Red by Disney and Pixar.
I am already looking forward to spring break!

I am Annabelle. I am ten years old and live in Berchem.
My favourite films are How To Train Your Dragon 1, 2 and 3. They are my favourite films because my love for dragons is endless and How To Train Your Dragon is the most fun and the most beautiful.
My love for film is very big, as is my love for the Youth Film Festival which I have been going to for years and even participated in with one of my own films. I hope that as a member of the children's jury I can make other people love films and the festival as much as I do.

Hello, I am Amelia!
I love the Youth Film Festival so much, because you can play games there, see awesome films and have a great time. So I am thrilled to be in the children's jury. My favourite film is Titina, which I saw last year at the Youth Film Festival. I love seeing movies about dogs and the past and that one was very beautifully drawn and also nice that it had real images in it.
Very impressive! I am already looking forward to spring break!
